Ford Introduces All-Electric F-150 Lightning Pickup

The F-150 has been the best-selling pickup for 44 years and now Ford has introduced an electric version, as the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, coming soon to Stillwell Ford. Ford engineers worked tirelessly to ensure that the F-150 Lightning can stand up to all of the work that F-150 owners do on a daily basis, while also including a ton of new technology.

The all-new Ford all-electric F-150 Lightning Pickup has more torque than any other F-150 ever before. It can carry up to 2,000lb and tow up tp 10,000lb. It can also accelerate to 60mph in around 4.5 seconds.

The F-150 Lightning is now one of the most powerful versions of the F-150 ever made – with an impressive 563 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft. of torque (the most of any F-150 ever) and an estimated 0-60 time as low as the mid-4 second range. Combined with new independent rear suspension, the F-150 Lightning offers an exhilarating drive that is both quiet and comfortable as well.

Added features such as the built-in generator that can power your house, in-bed scales, and the lockable front trunk are just a couple of the amazing features Ford thought of when designing the F-150 Lightning. The new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is just one of Ford’s new all-electric vehicles that are part of the company’s push to electrify more of its lineup, which includes the new Mustang Mach-E and Ford E-Transit.

Ford will now be able to make continual improvements to the F-150 Lightning over time by a modem that can provide in-car Wi-Fi as well as perform over-the-air software updates to keep the infotainment and vehicle systems current and free of any bugs or glitches. SYNC 4A is available as well and can be optioned with a large 15.5-inch touchscreen that has built-in Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. There’s no doubt that the F-150 Lightning is the most advanced truck ever built.
